5 ways to support the Hidden Entrepreneur Appeal

With the UK Government doubling any donation you make to Traidcraft Exchange’s Hidden Entrepreneur appeal before 11 April, now is an amazing opportunity to get creative in the way you raise money.

When people in developing countries are given the right opportunities and training, they can build businesses that enable them to leave poverty behind for good.  Together, we will help hidden entrepreneurs in Kenya, Senegal and Bangladesh turn their potential into profit.

How can you get involved? Here are five suggestions to get you started…

1.       Hold a Big Brew

A Big Brew coffee morning is a great way to get your community together to make a real difference for hidden entrepreneurs! You can order a free resource pack (full of lovely posters, excellent ideas, and some delicious recipes!) here.

2.       Order a collection box

Order a lovely hidden entrepreneur collection box here! You could put one at church, in your local shops, or simply use it to gather up your spare change.

3.       Take on a challenge

Whether you're a keen mountain walker or more of a casual stroller, why not join us and take on a new challenge to raise money for hidden entrepreneurs? If you can think of it, you can do it! We work in partnership with a number of specialist challenge providers, so we can offer you the chance to take on any adventure you'd like in aid of Traidcraft Exchange. Alternatively, you can organise your own - whether that's a sponsored swim or trekking across the Savannah!

4.       Host an event

Why not get your friends or family together for a quiz night, games evening, or simply a delicious meal? Charge an entry fee, or ask for donations and before you know it you’ve had a great evening and made double the difference for Hidden Entrepreneurs in developing countries.

5.       Take on an entrepreneur challenge!

Make your money grow. Whether that’s by selling cakes, growing seeds into plants, or getting creative with crafts, make like our hidden entrepreneurs and turn your potential into profit – which you can invest in a brighter future for people in poverty.

Remember, you can donate to the appeal here.  In addition, if you set up monthly gift, for the first three months, your donation will be doubled – an excellent investment!
